Long as the bike looked like it was XIV tech, sure.Ok that makes sense. I would like to run a hypothetical by you and everyone who sees this since this is on the thread's subject. Let's say that Cid, Biggs and Wedge made a bike but it wasn't refereed to as "Cloud's Bike" and would only be used outside the continent of Erozea in the more open lands of Hydalyn (The game will be going there eventually) so that we don't have a big bulky bike turning on a dime as you said. Would you vote yea or ney?

While I love FFVII (I had the freaking buster sword mounted on my wall, a curio cabinet filled with just FFVII merchandise, my character’s last name is a subtle reference to Cloud), I really don’t want to see it in FFXIV.
It still bothers me that the melee limit break is a buster sword. FFVI magitek is badass (but have mixed feelings about it being in the game). FFXIII was way too much of a stretch.. I would love to see original elements and maybe more subtle references to other FF games. Not “Do this fate to look just like Lighting because everyone LOVES LIGHTING!”
Overall.. please no more mounts.. at least for a good while.. there are way to many mounts in this game already and everyone teleports anyways :\



I was never really impressed with VII personally. Yes it introduced us to FF in 3D and the possibilities that opened up, but for the most part the gameplay and story were lackluster or simply generic.



There are terrains where legged mounts (aka magitech armor) wouldn't really be convenient. Any place where wheels and traction are a good thing would necessitate the creation of wheeled vehicles. Yes, this is universal century gundam logic, but I can see it stretching to FFXIV if need be.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
