The amount of resources it would take for a hair addition.. if that was too much for the ps3 then there is no way PS3 is going to be in on the next expansion let alone next patch.
Farewell ps3, so long and thanks for all the fish. XD
You didn't read a word I said, lol.
I can go into the finite technicalities if you REALLY WANT.
This addition would be absolutely no impact or difference on any of the hardware available for FFXIV.
It would either simply replace the current base skin texture with a hair version, OR add on another 3D mesh layer.
In a really simple term of explanation, it's essentially another layer of gear if they use the second option, nothing more, nothing less.

I support this as a potential option. IMMERSION!!!!
As well I'd like to mention body hair is naturally occurring for all mammals. So the people who think its disgusting are idiots and entitled to their opinions however dillusional they may be.

This game was developed in Japan.Wow comparing someone's body, to someone's bodily functions... yeah that seems legit /sarcasm.
Like I've said many times over, this game isn't only in Japan, it's world wide, where there are many different sets of cultures and sub-cultures in those countries. Just saying...
The game is supported by Japanese people in Japan.
The Japanese community is the largest community so far.
The Japanese community, as a result of the last few points, gets a lot more than the rest of us.
So let's just pretend like a Japanese game that's supported by Japanese people in Japan with a large Japanese community now has to cater to the rest of the world in every facet.
On that note, why can't we have Hot Dogs and Burritos as food items?
Oh right...
EDIT: Oh right, it's bad manners to compare one bodily function to another bodily function. My mistake.
Why are you here? Why are you against more customization options? This would be an option, it would not be infringed upon anyone or you personally... again why are you here?This game was developed in Japan.

Japanese people have bodyhair and facial just like anyone who isn't japanese. They aren't some pureblood race of hairless people. The absence of hair is only due to art aesthetic.
I never personally used the terms "they have no body hair." I know they do, obviously every person in the world no matter where they are from will have some different variations of their body structure, and no one form is better than the other. Mostly my statement is for those who try to say "It's a Japanese game, and they don't have body hair, and frown upon it in media." Maybe not worded the best way possible.

The souls series is made by a Japanese dev. Though I'm not sure just how popular it there, but they feature body hair.
Have we gotten a dev response yet on this matter? That's usually a good indicator of whether on not they may implement it in the future like the invisible glamour accessories, fantasia, etc that we've been requesting.
Unfortunately there is no Dev or Mod response yet to this matter. That's why I made the thread to see if it would get a response, if they say it's not manageable, won't be heart broken and I'll move on. But yes, that's the main goal in this thread, is to show there is support and ask the ultimate question, can it be done?The souls series is made by a Japanese dev. Thanks Shioban.If there's one thing I've proven in the past, it's when they've said something like;
"Lol no, you're not getting metalic dyes, and we're not fixing it"
To get a complete turn after the communities outrage/feedback about it to;
"Actually, we'll add it now, along with some new dyes!
So, it's always nice to keep the thread going, (even if they say no).
