For thsoe who speak a bit better japanese than me....

The latter part is only in the 8th derevation used for dreaming, otherwise used for illusion and the first kanji is a lyrical writing of something freezes .. Wouldnt it be more saying That Illusion of Freezing?

Just curious because some Japanese original titles mean quite something else than the english translation

True but couldn't dreams be considered illusions?

I think Dreams of Ice is more catchy than the Illusion of Freezing.

    In my opinion anyway.

Original meanings are lost, more often than not, when things get translated...

It actually says something along the lines of "Freezing Illusions" since the first half ("freezing" + particle) is just to describe what the Illusions part is all about.

IMO "Dreams of Ice" give off the same feeling. Dreams can be so good that you never want to wake up from them, so you've fallen into an illusion created by your mind that you're ultimately charmed by. If they froze over somehow, you can definitely never wake up again. Not that you'd want to wake up from such a wonderful dream.
