Happy about AA and higher accuracy
Not so happy about too much conjurer nerf and still unsure about archers
Overall: Happy °-°

Ney. Auto-attack is awful and awfully done. I don't mind the nerfs, but I bought a game to play it. If I wanted the game to play itself, I would have gotten macro-ing programs to bot. The sluggish feel with auto attack delay is ridiculous. I'll never touch Pugilist again, now; and, unless they make it feel like I'm playing the game again I'll just sponge up the free play and stop when they charge.
Auto attack belongs in FF11. I hated that game and I dislike the direction FF14 is heading with its addition. Perhaps they can next reduce running speed by 50% and add some control lag to make it feel even less like I'm playing a game and artificially inflate the time it takes to do things even more.
I already talked about how i dislike the targeting/enemy engagement system in thread i posted, but other than that it is FAR too soon to judge.
I haven't decided yet whether mp cost increase is too harsh or just added challenge =/. Methinks challenge.
exxageration lol.....so you use only light attacks and no abilities? I like auto attack but I distinctly remember having a far wider combination of moves with stamina bar rather than:
"11111111111111111111111111111111" XD
So now we have to repeatedly press one less key. Man we're suddenly "Not playing the game" anymore![]()
AA just replaces the most repeatitive and mindless part of key pressing. Removing the repeatitive and mindless part -> More focus on the fun and engaging part.
My main complaint is that AoE was removed from many spells without an AoE alterantive spell being made available.
Minor stuff-
Drain's potency was increased marginally, but its MP cost was increased substantially. It's overalll worse than before when the two factor together. I realize MP costs were increased becuase we can regenerate MP fairly quickly now out of combat, but it's easy to burn all your MP in a fight and not be done when you would have been fine before.
Phantom Dart and Shadowfall were both given lengthy recast timers (far longer than the time it took you to use them before) but deal the same damage as before.
