What cracks me up when I see people say this. Is if SE decided to have prices low as they said they were, what would of been your chances of getting a house yourself?

I say 1-5% chance because others would have logged on camped outside of those zones and instantly bought them up. it would of been a race and people are mad because prices were too high it doesn't matter cause you probably wouldn't of got one to begin with if they were low priced either and would of still been raging inside forums regardless.

I have a house and look at it this way.

Even if the price was low you still would of had a low chance to get a house, I see the arguments how people buy gil or have gil to buy it, okay what does that have to do with anything? I mean if it was low priced it would just saved those people with tons of gil some money and they would of bought them anyways.

so screaming at yoshi for not selling at low price is stupid, Anyone who has played FFXI should know by now Square Enix when they say stuff is gonna happen to be on the defense because it might just not happen and this has been a fact since 2004 things they have said that never happened.

Not that I don't feel bad for you all, I mean they could of planned this housing thing better than they should have that's a given.

If the system were set up properly, then the prices could have been set reasonably as well. The real problem is they set up a housing system with a limited number of available plots. Personal housing requires a system that allows as many houses as there are players. Any issues with the pricing are secondary to that. They have to fix the main problem in availability before fixing the price problem would be meaningful. (But eventually, they need to fix both problems.)
