Not being rude but even the "average" player can farm something for a limited time. If you take fleece for example, one hour of farming(while watching doing something to pass the time), will get you 5-10 stacks of fleece. In balmung that's 100-200k gil profit with minimal effort. No one has to "play" with the market or take advantage of surges, just do some little work to get what you want, is all.

Plus, this is not even taking account of gil you get on dungeons/drops/retairners/fates/challenge logs/leves.
