Thanks for nice comments ! <3 I hope we'll all get a home one day T^T

There is a difference in how our societies conduct business. There is also the fact that the JP have the benefit of no language barrier, and being the primary audience for SE. More often than not their opinions are found first. And they are rightfully mad as hell.Try again....
They may not use swords anymore other than for ceremony, but when it comes to honor, they firmly believe in it, and it matters even in this modern age.
Ask anyone actively involved in day to day transactions with a Japanese company just how much it matters, maybe you'll learn something.
And the case against doesn't have to be a matter of "face", ARR started out of a concern for their image, if it ends up causing image problems all on its own, perhaps it does call for a "change in direction".
Apologies used to be a big deal from SE, what does it say when they seem to be coming regularly...?

Comments like this make me wish for a downvote button. Nobody is forcing you to continue opening this thread and reading further comments. If people continuing to voice their displeasure, something they should have a right to do, bothers you then don't open the thread.

I disagree. I feel like this thread should be pinned on the front page, kind of how a bloody, severed head is often mounted on a stake and left at the front door.
Is this what people say as "entitlement" mentality? Does being beta 1.0 make people all that special? Everyone waits. But somehow the entitled ones thinks they should not have to wait.

Exactly how many housing posts (that you pointed out hold no interest to you) are you going to come into to bash people? Does it make you feel powerful doing that? We get it you don't care about housing, so stop clicking housing threads

Has nothing to do with entitlement. What it means, is that personal housing should be available to EVERYONE, not just the few that logged in 8 mins after server going live.
That's exactly the problem. They're working towards doubling the plots in a system that would have to be increased a hundredfold in order to work. So, if they manage to get all the resources they're trying for, then in 2.4 we can go from 1% of the players able to get a house to 2% of the players able to get a house. whoop de doo. What about the other 98% of the players who are still locked out getting access to the content we're paying for?You know the total number of plots available now? They're working to double that for 2.4, with the option to release many, many more because they know that what they currently have isn't enough. It was all they were able to release right now due to technical limitations.
So, lets see... Can they fix this fiasco after the fact? They've already sold FC housing to individuals (and at a steep price, too) so that's locked into the game now. They need a system that will allow everyone to get a house without taking all the houses from FCs. I think the best option is still to add in a separate, instanced, personal housing system (as they should have done to begin with), but now it will have to exist alongside the ability to buy your personal house in the FC wards instead.
That means there cannot ever be any differences between what features are available. If any feature is ever added to FC housing that isn't also available in personal housing, then individuals will buy up all the FC houses and FCs won't be able to get them. It needs to be arranged so that the only reason people would choose the FC wards is to get their personal house next to their FC house or next to their friend's personal house. There's only a tiny fraction of players who care about that, and fewer who would choose to pay extra for it.
They'll still need to go ahead and double the FC housing wards, as planned. That should cover the FCs waiting to get plots plus the few individuals who would prefer their personal house to be in an FC housing ward.
Alongside it, add an individually instanced personal housing system that allows everyone to buy a house. It should have all the same features as the FC houses except for having only one plot in the instance. (That should actually make it easier to develop than if they were different, since the only new thing to add is the new places to put those already-developed features.) It should be cheaper than FC housing (both to still the pricing complaints and, more significantly, to encourage individuals to use that rather than individually buying FC houses that are apparently so hard on the servers for some reason).
One other thing that's necessary for it to work: In order to prevent speculators from buying up all the FC houses to resell when they're no longer directly available, wait a little while between when someone releases a house in an FC ward and when that plot is put back up for sale. Make it a random interval, like maybe anywhere between 1 and 4,320 minutes (3 days) after releasing a plot, it will become available for anyone to buy. That should discourage the selling of plot availablility, and therefore discourage the buying up of extra plots for resale rather than use.
What's more, it all has to be ready (or at least mostly ready) in time for 2.4. If 2.4 were to add the extra wards as claimed without adding the truly personal housing option as well, you'll just have even more individuals buying up FC houses, exacerbating the server strain and throwing off the balance (where those should be primarily for FCs). You might get away with a slightly later release of real personal housing but *only* if you can release a detailed preview before 2.4 showing everyone exactly what the individual housing instances will look like, where they'll be, how they'll work, their prices, etc., along with the date when they'll be available. You'll need to give this one feature as much advertising as a major patch in order to overcome the initial misstep of having released personal purchases of housing in the wrong place first.
