I have no problems with the patch what so ever. Having the same wards as FC is fine with me. I was able to buy a house I don't mind spending a little gil on it. Let's me garden and grow chocobo food, and pets ect, and decorate the house with furnishings. I like the idea of having neighboors and its a lot more fun then what some people wanted which was an instance with 1 house. Just because some people didn't save gil they are complaining on the forums a bunch. I think they did a good job with the patch.

Can I just say that not all of the unhappy people are flaming? Many have construction criticism and alternative ideas.

On the flip side, not all the people that are less bothered are white knighting it, so to speak. Many are admitting that things aren't perfect, but are still happy with the game as a whole.

Please keep in mind that it's the noisy ones on both sides that are making everyone look like crazy people. Its up to you to weigh how you feel, and whether the game can still be worth playing in your own mind.

If you decide that it is either worth or not worth your subscription fee, then whatever you decide is fine. But please don't judge people with an opposing viewpoint too harshly.

Oh really so because your one of the less than 1% of 2.3million registered players who managed to get a plot to date, you don't think the large amount of people who want a plot but cannot get one because not just of pricing but ridiculously low quantity of plots and which happen to fall into the remaining 99% category have any reason to complain?

As Jican says, how nice of you to admit you got what you want but all your doing is coming across as saying screw everyone else who hasn't and cannot get the same or that's how your comment feels to me. The feature of player housing should be available to all not 1-2% of the player base. Having a price that makes it something have to work towards is fine in general but having only enough plot's for 1% of their customers is not.

The price is not the biggest issue, it is secondary to the extreme limitation of plots available.

I appreciate the hard work they put into the game, but a screw up is still a screw up.
I'm not going to lambast them for the public housing, but I have no qualms about expressing my disapproval over how it's being handled.
Some people get too excited and overreact, but that's true of everyone in the public eye. If you can't learn to laugh off the ludicrous threats and rabid reactions, you're going to have it rough.

The killing blow to it all is that he sat right there and lied to us...
I mean it would not of been so bad if he had some updates to it, later on and changed what he said, but he didn't.
I'm sick of these "Oh and..!" last minute, nothing we can do ... updates.
They need to stop that. I said this before on FC house.

Theirs a reason their was no personal housing preview, like every other content had got prior.
They knew this would happen, they knew this would cause a reaction, they knew it would explode after.
It's not an oversight by SE not adding enough wards, it's an insult to their entire subscriber base that they ignore it and just promise the "oh hey a few more plots in the future,, maybe"

Your post seems one of the most childish in here so I do not think telling people to grow up is something you should do, just because you do not care about housing does not mean others feel the same or that they should feel as you do about it. I personally couldn't care less about hunts for example but I sure as hell don't go into threads about the flaws currently with hunts and tell people to grow up and be happy hunts exist. You are more akin to part of the problem with the community than those you criticize because your so lacking in compassion and so intolerant of the needs and wants of others that you feel the need to insult them on something that means very little (if anything at all) to you. It is that intolerance and disdain towards others who want to enjoy the game as much as you do even if that enjoyment comes from other elements of the game than you enjoy most which makes a community far worse off.
