An alternative solution to housing - Let me buy it with real money

Look, some of us play the game for fun and not to simply farm gil or play the market boards.

You launched services that allow people to pay extra real money for additional retainers.

I propose that you launch a service that allows me to pay real money for a freaking house.

It takes far less time for me to earn $40 real dollars than it does for me to earn 4,000,000 gil.

Additionally, I'd be more than happy to pay a few extra dollars each month to ensure that my house and furnishings don't simply go bye-bye if I can't play the game for 35 days.

But the truth is, Squenix does not mind the RMT unless they are reported/found out or go in excess (with very large amounts in one go).
The solutions to stop RMT are simple but they do not care enough to put those easy stops in.

Easiest way to cripple the RMT?
No more gil drop, at all, from monsters.
Only from quests, challenge log, and whatever else.

Takes far more time for a bot to go through main story than to spam Wanderer's Palace 24/7

No thank you. Please do not lock endgame content behind a cash shop. Anyway, even if this happens, the resulting personal housing will still be something subpar because of SE's inability to upgrade their server infrastructure (due to technical, budgeting, or other reasons).

First, if housing is end-game then it shouldn't be walled off behind a gilsink either. Besides, 90% of the forum thinks housing is just vanity and no one should be upset about it being so expensive/limited availability.

Second, I'd be perfectly happy for housing to be paid by either/both methods. Don't force housing to be purchasable only through real money, but allow housing to be purchased for either gil or real money. No one loses that way.

The suggestion in the OP is RMT. There is no way SE will let gil be buyable legally because that will completely ruin the entire economy.
