i think they need to stop to take us for idiot...
recently a lot of them decision was bad... we have all get that they lack the knowledge for create content adapted to overcharged server like we have.
the personal housing must'nt be in the same ward than FC! and more important every person in the game must be able to get one! not only 1% people of the game.

we are in a sub game, not in a F2P game. we all pay for the same game, but put part of the basic content, like housing, in this way it's a huge error! they really need to update them server and spend more cash on them !!!!

You know, at some point, you really ought to notice that this happens a lot and try a little harder with your communication and translations. Quite a lot of what gets posted/translated could be interpreted multiple ways, and there's hardly ever any additional clarification.

I don't think this was a translation snafu. That's not Camate saying that, that's Yoshida saying that in his original Japanese post, to the Japanese community. They expected the same things we did.

I'm pretty sure they made gil more available so people could have an easier time affording things. Making those things proportionally expensive totally nullifies it all.

More gil was made available thru new gil generation methods and they were sinked in to features like FC housing. However, once things are afforded, the same methods continue to exist. Meaning after the big wave of people buying FC lots ended, people started stock piling gil. The gil generation methods were never removed and we continued to produce more and more gil. If FC lots and other expensive features continually consumed gil, you would be correct but they don't.

Although, that does depend on where you look. The cheapest house is a Grade 5 on the "poorer" worlds, at 2mil starting price which will drop to 1mil in 30 days. That's not too far off. For a world like ours, the starting price of said house is 4mil which would drop (if there were any left) to 2mil, which again isn't that far off in comparison to other houses.

It just depends on what you're expecting with the information available.

I was not expecting to see housing like it was released. I pooled my money with my wife and we bought up the next to last property available in Gridania (ended up being about 4.5 million) and I can't even get permissions to edit the house with her. Even bought an aetherite for teleporting for her with 14k seals.

While its great for her, we can't even use the property jointly. I'll have to craft everything and give it her her to place for both of us. The whole way it was handled is very upsetting for both of us. They knew 1 year ago this was how it was going to be and said nothing. They knew they were going to get blasted for this yet did it anyway....

We will both still be playing but neither of us are in any way happy over this fiasco.

Save your breath, these types will NEVER understand because they ALWAYS have money in some shape or form. Wether they farm their butts off for this much gil or buy it from RMTs is debatable but yeah, you can say"that's not cheep!" till your blue in the face while staring at your less than 500k balance most days and they'll turn and look at their 10+mil balance, tilt their head like a dog and go "I don't understand, why can't you afford it?" becuase in their heads they assume EVERYONE is rich and anyone who isn't, is just lazy and doesn't farm enough.

4 mil gil in at todays gil market is alot more affordable than FC houses at 4 mil when FC housing was first made available. And yet there are FC going defunct and losing their houses. Looks like SE just wants people to fill up these wards first, and then move forward from there.

There's no character limit on edited posts.

In this case, yes, it was Yoshi communicating poorly to begin with. The devs communicate poorly to begin with in many cases. In many other cases, the translations are lacking.

SE has consistent problems with specificity, completeness, and clarity, across the board. And they're no good at follow-up, either.

It's like they've tried to copy the form of other companies' communication without noticing what really makes any of it work.
