    WAR assistance - gear

    Hello all,

So I finally did it. Got WAR to fiddy. Now I am kinda stuck on what to do about iLVL. I have a i100 PLD so most of that gear moves over, but I am wondering should I use i90 Allagan STR accs or not? My weapon should be upgraded to either weathered Conq or Bravura Zenith this weekend so don't pay that slot no mind. This weeks ST farm is for Phleg's mask. So the accs are my real concern at this point. Should I use what I have, Noct/ W. Noct ring and W. Noct wrists, or would it be better to stick with the DPS acc's? Either land at i94 with the DPS acc's or i97 with the Noct stuff that I mentioned and the neck and ear the Allagan DPS stuff.

Just kinda lost on it atm and need some input.

    Thanks in advance!

Link to see what I currently have.

I would say pick whatever you feel suits you, the str accs can be really nice to keep aggro and deal more damage while the VIT once will give more safety. As you just hit 50 with WAR you might wanna use VIT so that if you screw up you have a bigger safety zone, otherwise if you feel like you know how to play WAR as you already have a PLD the tank part should be no prob you can go for STR accs.

True, but it's sliiightly too early for you to be going ham into Strength quite yet, Synestr. Replacing all of your accessories now is a net loss of 75+ Vitality. You're best off, even if it is expensive, melding a set of Ruby Accessories with Vitality, Accuracy, and whatever else you want so you can maximize Strength while still having enough HP to survive the Second Coil. If you have no plans on getting in there, however, there's not too much need to worry as long as your Left Side gear is good enough.

I was thinking on the Ruby melds, Xeno had brought that up in his WAR guide, was thinking of VIT/ACC/DET or CRIT

    Thanks for the input

Crafted i90 accessories allow you to have five slots that confer 15 Vitality and 13 Strength each. It's hands down the best and least dangerous way to inject some Strength into a tank build.

While melded HQ i90 rings are the best, if you don't have friends or the gil to get them a good alternative is putting your bonus points into STR and using one i110 DD accessory.

This will give you a 10% DPS/enmity boost to allow full use of Storm's Path over Storm's Eye.

Its because the amount of Vit on the 110 gear is insanely high, and if you swap out all your accessories for 110 str accesories you can get a very large amount of STR as well.

Currently at i lvl 106 518 str, 487 vit. (add 3% group bonus and you are looking at 533 str, 501 vit) Currently specd 15/15 cause i was tired of the debate.

Interesting, I believe my spec is 20Str/10Vit. I like the advice of getting the 110 dd piece. As I currently tank I don't find myself(shamfully tattling) not useing SE as much as I should. I have a question though, the extra on eye is the +50% to HP recovery via healing magic. Is it not worth it, or minimally, to just bypass Eye all together. Like I said I don't use it as much as I should, shame on me, but I seem to get by without it. I Usually get it up third, SP > BB >SE, amidoingitwrong?
