New Housing Patch Makes Sense - Serious Discussion Only

My problem is that they didn't create anything NEW for personal housing. They are reusing everything they already have.

My other huge problem is that in their laziness, they are using it as a gilsink. While I agree gilsinks need to happen, as already mentioned, it's been done with FC housing. Personal housing did NOT need to be used as another gil sink.

What I imagined is a similar housing district but with an organization of small houses. Every player can buy a house the same size. Maybe a different layout, color, decoration, walls, etc. but the same size with a little bit of land.

Edit: And to edit my post, I bet a lot more money would be immediately sank if each small house was 2~4M depending on waterfront, etc. because way more players would be able to do this upfront.

I think this is what many of us had in mind. I, personally, don't need my personal house to be as large as the smallest Free Company house. I would be fine with a one story house with the interior as large as a personal room in a Free company house, or a two story house with rooms slightly smaller than a personal room in a Free Company house. A small plot of land with which to put some decorations on and a few garden plots. When I step outside my house, I see a suburban like area filled with personal homes the same size.

I don't know the technical requirements for such a feat, but I can't imagine that it could be any worse than the Free Company wards we have now.
