I think Rhode was trying to suggest since housing is scarce you could join an FC that managed to snag a house previously. Saying 'you can own a house' in this case is like saying you could win the lottery. Yes. You could. Likely? No.
Are you purposely arguing in bad faith? If I joined an FC with housing I would have to leave the one I'm currently in, where my friends are, to join another one.
I would rather my FC be able to buy a house than buying one myself while the rest of my FC goes without.
Sorry, i agree, this is Bogus, it's bad enough (( from what i can see )) roughly 96% Of the population per server is alienated, My loyalty goes with those who earn it, I threw the first version into the trash - Where it belonged, If your going to do something, Do it right, the game has improved DRAMATICLY since it's initial release.... The housing system can be done better, I know enough about game design and backend network issues to know THAT much atleast.
Stop taking shortcuts.
You know what we call people that don't realize something. (Square Enix is in a bind and losing money even with Subs at the moment.)WoW has several times the amount of subs that ARR has, and WoW is completely paralyzed when it comes to adding very little content. This game comes out with far more content in a shorter time and it takes far less money for SE to do it.
Paying subs isn't what spurns them to make content. It's the desire for success and pleasing your customers. Personal housing right now is a huge failure, and doesn't please customers. You don't understand the position they are in. If it was really the way they said it was, they should have WAITED until patch 2.4 to release it AT ALL. But no. They used personal housing as a way to keep us subbed for just a few months longer. You know what they call that in english?
Deception.
Blind.
Never a mind was changed on an internet board, no matter how good your arguments are...
No, what are you even getting at? If you move from one FC to another, you are moving houses if both own a house. If you buy a personal house in the wards, and start or join an FC, you still keep your personal house, while being in an FC with a house.
My FC doesn't own a house, though. Nor do I stand any chance of being able to buy my own, personal, house.
Also just throwing some logic at you. In game a small plot and house for an FC is about 5m day one with all costs. Please tell me why that exact same house should cost 800k for an individual?
Then perhaps you should focus on starting a movement to get Square to make personal rooms or inn rooms more viable for these things. Because back to back, in game mechanic wise, a small house should cost the same to buy, no matter if it's an FC buying it or an individual.
