For me, it's White Mage all the way. Scholar feels like a very lazy job in comparison, with the fairy basically taking over 50% of the healing duty.

I much prefer to take a more active role when it comes to healing the party, and having the stronger party buffs is the icing on the cake. It's also nice not having to worry about your fairy being out of range because it's too stupid to move in for heals, or needing to reposition it during certain boss phases. I also like having raw power behind my heals.

Don't misunderstand me, I know how strong Adloquium can be with a good critical, but the problem with it is that the better half of that skill is a 30-second buff, which means it can wear off non-tanks during play. That means those people require additional cures to get them back up to strength.

I still play Scholar from time to time, mostly when I want something different. But WHM is my first and one true healing class
