So you wanna have raid equivalent gear without raiding? You are the literal embodiment of entitled.Nobody is asking to have things handed to them. Some of us don't have schedules conducive to statics. I just think there should be alternate methods of obtaining the same items, not just lesser "equivalents". Novus is reasonable, except for the gil sink, but at least you can overcome a gil sink without having to have 7 other people "team jump-roping".
Many players also just lack the patience. My guild currently has 5 statics, and we're forming our 6th static. With formation of all of the statics, we've run into the exact same problems repeatedly. How many of the people complaining they don't have a static have actually tried to put one together themselves instead of waiting around for someone to pick them up? Everyone I've talked to who complains about not having a static says they're not cut out for leading a raid or some other excuse. But just because you put the effort into finding people for a static doesn't mean you have to order everyone around. It's a group effort.
Players being too impatient to wait for the static formation. They join us, looking for a static. After about 2 weeks there's no full group yet, as finding a last tank or healer may be troublesome. They end up leaving the FC and go look elsewhere. Three weeks later, the static is up and running, going through it's first content. What do we see? The player who left is still up in party finder or on the community forums, looking for a static. Even though (s)he could have been part of one, it is their impatience which caused them to miss out.
The impatience can also be seen on those who join last, or even those who stick around. They face the reality of a new group to content not one-shotting turn 6, not one-shotting turn 7. And they decide to leave. As progression this way is not in accordance to their level of expectation. Even if they themselves are making just about as many mistakes. And what do we see? Once the newly formed static is hitting turn 8 or turn 9, we still see these players looking for a new static.
But of course such impatience is nothing new in MMO's. It's been increasingly present over the past few years. And is unlikely to change any time soon.
Since beta Yoshida said that Coil is for hardcore endgame, not casual endgame.I find it especially funny that these fights are this way in a game that was represented as such a casual friendly game. Not everything can be that easy, yeah, but that doesn't make it any less annoying with the huge difficulty spike thanks to mechanics that can drop you in mere seconds.
Problem
Vertical Gear Progression

if you can play something like 2/3 hours a day because of work, or whatever, you focus less on doing daily roulette/beast tribe/hunts, and focus more on raiding/ex primals/whatever endgame best suits you.Nobody is asking to have things handed to them. Some of us don't have schedules conducive to statics. I just think there should be alternate methods of obtaining the same items, not just lesser "equivalents". it's not like you can open a PF looking for a static that has the same playtime while you do other things...
Did you see my badge? I'm a professional!
You can't use PF half the time, and obviously I know how to use PF to find a static. My hours are not consistent. Sorry I am not sitting in PF while hunting or doing ID/Trials. Tbh why should I have to have a static anyway? Why is that the epitome of gaming?
