Wait did I understand OP right? He is annoyed that now more people are able to see a target?
I am annoyed that you are able to see it, Only I and my current party should be able to see it, everybody else can go hunk B ranks.

I'm annoyed that this shit zerg content somehow managed to sneak its way into the game. This would have been a brilliant idea . . . if they had a damn claim system. Are we really going to sit here and be happy with this uninspired open-world content? FATEs at launch? Zerg. No ones doing FATEs anymore? Force it for relic upgrades/hunt bills. Want allied seals? Make only a single system with which to obtain them, hope you aren't on PS3!
The entire reason people are so pissed about the Hunt, the vitriol that is spewed in chat, is because it is the ONLY system with which to obtain the currency. There needs to be a relief value to alleviate this pressure. Either another new means to obtain them ala force spawned targets with a daily limit or add AS to existing reward systems like Supply and Provisioning at a reasonable rate. Add them to Low Dungeon Roulette in place of GCS.
These hunt marks were supposed to be like NMs from XI or open world bosses from WoW, made to challenge and appropriate sized group not feed the zerg. Yeah, I've done it, forced myself to join the zerg but only because it is the only way to make a reasonable source of Allied Seals. SE dropped the ball on this one, open world bosses need claim systems and if everyone wants to complain about XI claim camping make it a forced spawn as stated above which I believe is a better system, like Treasure Map monsters. Something akin to Voidwatch from XI, get this thing, go murder this dood, get x or y item to go spawn a, b, or c monster. Repeat.
At least then I can take my small group to go kill a specified target without three quarters of the server swarming over me like a god damn plague of locusts.

The problem is not "we can see it now", I'm ecstatic about that, I killed Agrippa a few days ago and it never once vanished. And I'm a PS3 player! The problem rather is that the visibility has drawn an even bigger zerg crowd than ever and it's making it incredibly difficult to get full credit. I was the one who found Agrippa that time, I shouted right away and assembled a full party, switched to my i98 paladin with Shield Oath up, was there for every second of Agrippa's existence from pull to death, and I -still- got only five seals. The visibility isn't really a problem, the problem is the contribution rewards.
> Full party of DPS. Arrive at S mob (Nandi) at 50% hp. Get full credit.
Your argument is invalid.
I'm hoping with 2.38 and 2.4 people will move onto the new content and current s rank mobs are left behind a little.
Also if they put a weekly limit on points this way people hit weekly cap and move on so other people can hit there caps.
There I said it Weekly cap. And yes the hell with everyone that just spams them all week long for extra points.
With the cap I would increase the spawn rate to 3 times as many spawns per week
I fought an S the other day in a PT with mostly all WHMs and WARs (think there was a BLM in there) from 75% and only got 30 seals, so there are still clearly inconsistencies.
I think the other problem is that not only does the S mob need to have visual priority, but all members of your party should have priority as well. Did an Agrippa the other day where 4 people got killed and the whms couldn't target them to raise them in time and thus received only partial credit.

"Well, it's no Vana'diel, but it'll have to do..."
People on this board... /facepalm
On one hand, you guys slam people who get upset over early pullers, saying, "People should just chill, they can try to be there for the next one."
But when you happen to not get full credit on a mark, it's all, "OH NOES THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!"
Why don't you just... chill and get full credit on the next one? It's not hard. I probably get full credit on S ranks 60 to 75 percent of the time... and I'm fine with that. There are many fish in the sea.
Plus, you can still get log drops with partial credit... I know this from experience.
I'm tired of all the finger pointing at other players. None of us can change the system. Some people like the Unionization of Hunts, some see it as a Dictatorship. Who's right? Who cares. I think we're going in circles already.
SE is the only party that can change this. If they don't... well... I guess zerging is the new way it is "intended."
Oh I hate this. It's been a year (Odin and Behemoth) and this is still a problem. Greater now that we have more zerg content.
