Some questions about public requests

I usually don't meld because I'm so busy with my own thing but when I do I never expect anything in return,

I have been given quite large tips 15k plus but its damn rare and means little to me given I can sell something and earn more in the time it took to meld, especially when the person doesn't know how to do the process and you have to walk them through it.

So yeah to answer your question more clearly I do it to be nice as and when I feel I have the time to spare.

I am normally a rather helpful person but this is why I answer to melding requests in scream chat not anymore as often as I used to. I don't know how many approached me asking for Relict quest insertion and then it turned out that:

- they do not have the Materia
- they do not have carbonized matter
- they do not know that they have to click on the crafter and choose the insert option

All of this taking care that what's planned to be a 1 minute action turning out into an explanation nightmare. And then there are the pro players who think it is fine to ask you to meld 5 iLevel 70 sets for them but they do not have a single mat and they offer you 10k for it. -.-

This is literally the reason why I stopped offering/promoting me being able to meld. I literally had one person have no idea what they were doing, had not unlocked the ability to meld materia at all, or anything of that nature and what I thought would be a quick meld ended up turning into a 15 minute wait fest of social awkward. Then the person did not even tip me. I understand being new, but at least tip for your time. I did when I was at my first relic stage and had no idea what to do.

Things like this happened more than once to the point I am not doing it anymore for tips.
