Basically how it'll work.. They'll have an primal fight at the convention. The teams who win will have their leader draw a server name out of a hat. Whoever's server name is drawn gets the earrings. They will keep drawing server names as long as people win the fight.

That's how it works. When they did it the first time, every single server won and they had more people winning, so they added in bomb earrings too. And every server got those too.

Cactuar Earrings, yes... but not the Bomb Earrings - the Bomb Earrings were only added to the event at the eleventh hour when it seems SE realized that it was obvious every server was now going to end up winning the right to gain the Cactuar Earrings, so they added the Bomb Earrings towards the end of the event probably to have something 'exclusive'.

Which worked, as only a handful of servers ended up with the Bomb Earrings, mostly Legacy ones from what I understand (my server had them for instance). Anyway, the return of this event will be nice for all those players who have just joined recently and thus missed out the first time (I still wear my Cactuar and Bomb Earrings - they're good lvl 1-15 ear wear as well).
