To bad Yoshi already went on record saying Atma was to stay the same. Just gonna have to deal with it.It started with the HUNTS?
For me, it started with the release of Atma and the realization that This Is Awful. They've gotten better on that front while simultaneously not improving at all on others (sightseeing, oh gawd!).
Well, regardless, they are at least listening to feedback, so that's nice. I guess the somewhat rushed 3-month patch schedule means they can't really test these things as much as they'd like (but Atma is still an awful, awful, awful thing).

They didn't touch Leviathan or Moogles when they added them to DF.
I kinda hoped they would change the caster Sahagin so it wasn't practically required to have a PLD but they didn't and it hasn't really been an issue... or at least it's not ever been the cause of DF wipes for me.

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with Atma. At the start of the quest, I was at my wits end. However...
I now have BRD Novus, DRG Animus and just got my BLM Atma today. (the latter was done over this past weekend, consisting of 560 FATES).
I think it's just fine. Just because it's not handed to you, doesn't fully mean that its broken..or that it should be changed.
Back on topic:
I find it absolutely silly that the Ramuh rings are going to be buffed to i110. LMFAO!!!! They're only going to be relevant until 2.4! What a waste of development time to even upgrade them. So many other things SE could be doing, and they are doing this.. /sigh
Sure there are things they should be listening to feedback on, or possibly improving/changing to improve our quality of life...but this just seems so silly....and late.
At the very least, keep it as it is - except make him drop tokens (mirrors) - so you can upgrade the ring to i110 from i100. People who have already cleared and have their drops, will have no incentive to clear Ramuh again if their gear automatically gets upgraded to i110.

What does it matter if they make the items from Ramuh i110? Why not make em i120? They gonna get obsolete soon enough. Nothin special about the gear anyway, just keep chasing that +2 attribute that you dont even notice.
Primals are just gonna be slightly less useless, but still not worth it.
Lemme know when the gear from Ramuh has a "Enthunder" effect.

They're game developers, not sociologists. When they release new content in updates, there is no player beta testing period. This is how they find out what works and what doesn't and adjust accordingly.
But that's just it. You must have been quite lucky - either that, or had a lot of time on your hands to have accomplished getting a Novus, Animus, and BLM atma. That in itself is a lot of work for a lot of people. If you're unlucky with the first stage of trying for your atma weapon, it can take you anywhere between days or weeks, depending on how unlucky/lucky you are or how much time you've got to spare. The general complaint is that the atma drops are still too low, and as time goes on, the animus relic quest line evolves. A lot of people thought the atma drop rate would be nerfed so that people could eventually 'catch up.' (which seems to be the general consensus in this game, anyhow.) With Yoshi saying: "atma is working as intended" - it leaves a nasty taste in people's mouths because if you're a new player, or someone who simply wants to start a new animus weapon, then in the long run it's going to be one hell of a grind.
Every little improvement adds up to a significant end result. The goal is not the number on the gear, but being able to defeat that next set of more challenging content. What does it matter if they make the items from Ramuh i110? Why not make em i120? Persistence is really key. I wouldn't say luck at all.But that's just it. If I can get an atma weapon over the weekend, it truly isn't broken. Also, its as if you forget that there are comparable weapons out there that you can choose to persue as well, that may not require such a time sink or grindy way to obtain them. I fail to understand why people still complain about atma drop rates due to this. You know, SCOB weapons are still better and I'm not complaining that I spent all this time to accumulate ATMA, do the 9 books for each weapon and then collect 75 materia and Alexandrite....to only have an inferior weapon. As I stated above, I used to. I thought grinding for Atma was shit and I wanted to quit over it - numerous times. Especially since after all of this...any Coil weapons are better.
Once you get used to the pace of it all, and put on my Netflix or whatever, it's really not that bad...just boring running from FATE to FATE. For me, I have found that participating in as many FATEs as I can is best - I do not strive for gold or silver ratings at all. The only thing I am concerned about is participation - in any capacity. MOre FATES overall = more ATMA.
Also, MMO's are a time sink in general and it should come to no surprise that the Zodiac series of weapons in FFXIV are grindy and time consuming to obtain. Given their legacy in the FF series and how hard they are to obtain in the other FF games, I am happy that they are.

When somebody gets one Atma on the first FATE and another after 7 hours of running around doing them in another area to get that one, it's pure luck.Persistence is really key. I wouldn't say luck at all.
