Because that's part of the skill involved with using AoE? Because AoE is, and should always be, situational?why do I have to be careful NOT to use AoE spells?
Does everyone just want everything in their games handed to them on a silver platter?

Yes, That how other MMOs have made the MMO experience for the most part. Its sick how easy most games are now. If they were to have leve quest and behest mobs pop claimed, then behest and leves would go by in half the time. Wheres the challenge?
I personally think they should remove the AOE button and add AOE spells as seperate unlocks through leveling and guild marks.
No, this fix wouldn't turn the game into easy mode, it would make the game more fun and less aggravating, and cut down on a lot of behest drama and confusion.
At this risk of sounding snarky here, the game is already in easy mode. I like the game a lot, but it's far too easy right now.
If there were some alternative to the current system of attacking unclaimed monsters, I'm sure I'd be for it. But the removal of the responsibility on the part of the player to use AoE properly is unacceptable.
I agree.
For behests, make all the targets claimed for players so no one gets frustrated with anyone and everyone can continue having fun.
"Fun" is more important than anything else. I rather have that than people running off by themselves killing mobs without knowing the consequences. Besides, the game never explains anywhere the way behests mob claiming works to the player. I had to figure this out the hard way 40+ ranks down the road. They should either fix it or at least add a decent explanation for new (existing) players. But I say add all mobs as claimed for the behest party in the end. TRILLION times better off in the long run, from my many experiences.
