It was originally supposed to be in 2.4 based on the original roadmap but recent comments have me thinking it may actually be pushed back a bit.

Not trying to be rude here or anything, just curious. Why do people care so much about Gold Saucer? I don't get it. I always kind of hated that place in FFVII. And pretty much everyone I've ever talked to about FFVII always kind of hated it too, because beside the date, nothing really all that important seems to happen there that couldn't have easily happened elsewhere in the game, yet you're forced to spend so much time there without being able to progress in the story until you have. I'm just sort of surprised and, frankly, completely baffled over how many people I've seen getting all excited over it's addition to FFXIV.

gamble away your gil, race chocobos, play battle card games. It's an alternative place to have some casual fun.

Can't see it being 2.38 or 2.4 or the hype would already being built up, can honestly see it being 2.5 since their a patch behind so if it was slated for 2.4 then 2.5 fits

Well, considering we don't know anything about 2.4 yet ( except third coil and Shiva ) it might be ready for 2.4.
