    This game has got some great animations for sure. For jobs I think MNKs have the best.

    Since you mentioned abilities: I just can't get over the fact that every race does abilities the exact same way. Even worse, different abilities from different jobs have the exact same animation (tomahawk, shield lob, drg's throw). It comes of rather lazy to me.

    Race specific animations? Your mad!

    All we get are race specific /pose and /doze.

    I'd love racial specific animations to give the races some actual feel outside of tall skinny guy, bulky guy, childsized guy, cat guy, guy guy. But to be honest I'd rather them look at doing something like giving the character models collision physics to certain items like hair and armor.

    There are more important things going on of course and there will always be. It's just sad we didn't get it considering 10 year old MMO's do make use of it to give the races that more feel. They copy pasted FFXI's race animations. They couldn't do it for abilities since FFXIV has other abilities.

    i dont really think the animations are anything special over what FFXI had model quality aside. i really miss the multi hit weaponskills i dont know if any move in this game hits more than 3 times.

    Reminds me of those frenzy videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UF3AKcTdVyQ The one thing I liked about XIV 1.x was their more "realistic" approach to wielding weapons vs the same rigging with different particle effects between the races/genders in XI, some WS in XI look extremely nice for the age of the engine, but XIV 1.x gave it a more 'natural' feel.
