I want more scale mail-styled armors, or even a hybrid of plate and scale mail. Like what's shown in my sig. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. There are some interesting ideas that are being presented in the thread - and I'm sure everyone can agree that we don't want to go overboard, but it can still be something fun to implement. Any specific types of outfits/armors you want to see specifically? I'll try and compile a list for the dev. team to peruse.
Feral Ren's Armor
Features include:
- Clawed Plate Gauntlets.
- Scale Mail For Midriff.
- Large Form-Fitting Armor Plate for Upper Torso, held in place by metal clasps.
- Majority of underlying construction is made of leather.

With feminine wear, most mature MMOs I've seen pander to what they only think males want to see, no matter how impractical the end results may be. Why cover the chest when an enemy can easily stab your character through a thoroughly exposed torso, or arm... or leg ... or...? This has always been a point of contention with me. Personally, I think MMO developers need to reevaluate their evolving player base. Competition is high with evolving graphics and game mechanics, but as to understanding their demographics, most developers are stuck in a quigmire of equating more skin to be more appealing, which is not so as many of the posters here have already pointed out.
I adore Akihiko Yoshida's designs, because not only do his concepts combine style with class, they are, most importantly, practical. With him, armor is actually armor, and the outfits lose none of their sophistication in the process.
I won't post specific suggestions for armor design, because I trust Yoshida in this area. I only want to say that when designing any new armor, please keep in mind that you don't have to show a large amount of skin for the outfits to be appealing.

I, personally, like the way they have done heavy armours in this game so far and think many of them are sexy as is. But when you want to go sexier like you are saying, then maybe something cloth?: http://www.flickr.com/photos/larryfrmny/4731148549/ or http://claire.dodin.net/data/uploads/Site/model.jpg (yes, thats the same girl as in the armour above.)
Mage robes need to flow more.
Sex sells and the whole world is buying.
I'd like a few more stylish clothes, some clothing looks impractical, and seriously running around Thanalan wearing a full mage robe just makes me think, "Geez she must be sweating buckets."
But then there's the coatee, which is kind of going in the opposite direction from that.
The easiest way to look more 'casual' with your clothing is to go with undergarment then a pair of kecks or slops.
Shoes on the other hand... lack a great deal in variety.
Clothes created specifically for either gender would make the whole thing a bit more fun I think. And make it easier to tell if that lalafell conjurer with the hat on is male or female.
