I didn't see any of your concerns, but maybe I just overlooked it? Either way, the 'sexier' I believe, on a whole has been agreed that people want more 'elegant' armor and 'well-designed' armor that fits regional tastes as well as the genders and races that wear them.

Don't care for Nomura's designs myself.
I've always found them needlessly complicated with all the belts and zippers slapped on random places for virtually no functional reason whatsoever. I prefer his pre-10 art.
Yoshida has always been my favorite Final Fantasy artist.

Whatever Tetsuya Nomura puts in those cigarettes of his is some high-quality shit.

But seriously, most of his stuff past FFVII is just terrible, and he's hardly Mr. Final Fantasy. If anything, Akihiko Yoshida has taken up that mantel from Yoshitaka Amano quite nicely.

I think the current attire selections are all too 'thick'. Too many layers of clothing, and it all looks way too hot to be wearing.

Also, armor on girls should look somewhat different than armor on guys. I mean... they have boobs, so they cant wear the same type of plate armor, or any armor, it has to be shaped differently to mold around or be looser in that area. I dont see that right now. I see a girl in a cuirass i think 'man that must hurt to wear'.

Lol and this is why women in midevil times did not go to battle! Not that they should be kept in the kitchen. But armor was either to expensive to custom make for them or it was not confortable to wear. And well endowed women. Well, They usually had a different agenda that going to battle for their country! lol

I think it was more cultural ideas about women(it takes training to be in an army!) and discipline in the ranks(an issue even in today's military),part of chivalry was about keeping women out of battle, after all.(not that it succeeded.)
