What Mechanical Keyboard do you recommend for XIV?

I've played MMO end-game, casual and other types of games as well. Both with a cheap ass £15 keyboard, a mechanical keyboard and a more expensive laptop style slim keys keyboard. Result doesn't change, I sticked with the slim keys as I like the feel and less effort/noise. So yea, keyboard doesn't affect gameplay, just get the one you like by feel and looks and ofcourse cost.

I use a cheapo chiclet keyboard. It has a very low travel distance, so I find it more comfortable to use for long periods.

When my cat killed my deck, and before I got my K70, I was using my old Model M (I bought it for work because it's SUPER LOUD and I wanted everyone to hear how busy I was). While it is without question the most reliable keyboard ever, it suuucks for gaming.

I've had people tell me the keys are too far apart, and the reach slows them down, but... big hands, long fingers, works pretty good. I also have a RAZER BlackWidow Tournament but the spacing doesn't work as well for me. Looks cool though!

I have a Corsair k95 I like having the G keys however I don't use them as much as I thought I would they are still nice when grinding fates to not think.

I am buying a new KB and looking at a Corsair k70 w/Cherry red switches

Which KB and Switches do ya'll recommend? I have heard the reds and blacks are best because they are linear. thoughts?

I'm using the K70 with Cherry Reds and I love it. I was previously using an Ultimate Blackwidow with Cherry Blues, but I didn't like them for gaming or extended general use so I replaced it with the Corsair and I like the feel of the Reds much better.

Thanks fellas! I'm going to get a K70 RGB/cherry red when they hit my local shop next week, they are going to hold one of three for me

I am also ordering some goodies from wasd's website, blue o-rings, and a bootload of keycaps!

I'd try different switches though, before buying keyboard. There are some test switches available to be purchased in the internet. Everyone has different preferences, when keyboard is concerned. For example, I can't stand red, they offer no tactile bump, and as I also write a lot on my machine, they are useless for me. I'd not take anything but good old blue switches... maybe green, but blues are made for me.
