The developers don't want to alienate subs by such tactics but we the people we play this game should be able to publicly speak to those who are incompetent and are unable to complete content.

It seams in JRPGs freedom of speech is silenced and frowned upon.

We, as in western gamers, need to stand together to incorporate such policies or the introductions of 3rd party mods to weed out the weak.
There is a big flaw with a system like this. People are more likely to post a complaint (dislike) about something online then post a complement (like) something. The main reason is anger or being annoyed is a bigger motivator than happiness or satisfaction. So a "like/dislike" system will be naturally bias due to basic human psychology.

To prove my point, take a look at the general section of the forums (this section.) Aside from the neutral having fun/being silly threads, how many threads are complaints and how many are compliments?...exactly.

Negative Karma systems can be abused much easier. With a "Like" system like commends it's easy...you don't commend anyone. With a "dislike" system you're going to have an awful lot of elitists "downvoting" people simply because they're new. Especially if they're in an instance with a partial premade. Someone should NOT be ostracized because they're new or a little slow on the uptake...and that's what would happen.

The problem is, vote dismiss is a "get out of duty free"-card, people act like dicks or go afk all the time in order to get kicked to avoid their 30 minute lockout. Being a dick shouldn't get you what you want though, it should get you punished in some way.
