I love my elk pvp gear I will admit it isn't very appealing on male characters, but with the new updates to pvp glamour one of my fellow healer friends on my server who uses a male PC just glamoured the body to one of his more masculine gears and his Toon looks great! But back to topic I happen to disagree besides it looking bad on males the gear looks great!
-By the light of the crystal-

for instance the SCH/SMN set has triangles and polka dots. and then on top of that it mixes, satin, with leather with fur ... then to add to their "Christmasy" effect they stick a "deer" carcass on your back, and then to add to the "you're wearing roadkill" look, they included carcass legs that blow in the wind as you run.also, they didn't put not just one deer head, but TWO deer heads on your headpiece and one of them is so obnoxious it looks like they slaughtered Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer's head and glued it on there with Elmer's glue. This and this! A million times this!
For Christ sake, the fashion statement is of carcass legs blowing in the breeze!
And the butt! I get the cage crinoline bit for women (it worked for Victorian dresses, I suppose), but on a man's outfit? It's so hilariously bad, it's coming right around the back (see what I did there?) and becoming good again (God help us). I've actually been grinding PvP levels in FL so I can wear a set (never mind that FL is fun).
I'd like to remind you and every other person in this thread, that gear attained from PvP shouldn't look "cutesy". PvP is supposed to be a place where people kill (or in this case, knock out) the other player. You're supposed to be cold and merciless towards your enemies. Gear gained from weeks of PvP should at least give off a sense of fear to your opponents; not make you laugh yourself into a coma with how ridiculously stupid the SMN and SCH sets look. I can understand how the gear may look nice to female players, but come on. It's supposed to be PvP gear, not some clown looking outfit.I love my elk pvp gear I will admit it isn't very appealing on male characters, but with the new updates to pvp glamour one of my fellow healer friends on my server who uses a male PC just glamoured the body to one of his more masculine gears and his Toon looks great! I don't know. This isn't that bad looking. Maybe some dyes and it'll look good.
We are DoT casters tossing Pokemon at our enemies, how hardcore is that I ask you?I'd like to remind you and every other person in this thread, that gear attained from PvP shouldn't look "cutesy". While I understand that there are players who would prefer something more traditionally masculine for these classes, I also personally know people who like to dress their male characters in "cute" outfits.
That being said, ultimately, player opinion on armor sets will be hit or miss. That new set for your job might fit your tastes perfectly, or you'll hate how it looks. I can assure you that there are people that do like it, though. And if you've liked any other armor designs in the game, there's a pretty good chance you'll eventually get a set you'll like. If you haven't, well, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe the character team will eventually create something more akin to your tastes.
I love the deer sets, but I don't really like the Bearsmaw or Birdsong stuff. I've been working on the Snakestongue set, personally.![]()
