    I'd love to see them do something about the drops in general maybe a chance to reroll a chest once without getting a repeat of what was already dropped. The amount of repeat drops I've seen in coil especially t9 is disgusting. My static has had t9 on farm for months and yet 1/2 of us still don't have our weapons. I think we are at a total of 5 SMN books and 4 WHM canes dropping. RNG has failed us.

    I think the RNG issue is one which needs to be sorted, perhaps through means of token drops. If you complete a turn with lockout you get a token, 10 can be exchanged for any piece of loot from a turn you have already cleared, or something like that to lessen the pain of RNG.

    This was already (long ago) considered, but ultimately dismissed. They don't want people's 'best option' to be depending on a mercenary carry.

    Part of what my static does is introduce FC member who are unable to find raid groups is teach them new turns. We bring in new people once a static member is best in slot for that turn. Because of RNG we have resorted to levelling alts to do this.

    I support this. There should be a backup to rng. 10 tokens or 10 weeks without loot sounds like a good number.

    It would be 2 pieces of loot every 5 weeks. Given that gear appears to be obsolete after about 3-4 months (12-16 weeks), if someone were supremely unlucky and got no drops but did all 4 coils every week they would be able to get half of the gear available.

    The sad thing is that when it actually BECOMES obsolete, that's the time when everyone's like "Oh yeah open the floodgates put this sucker up in duty finder and nerf the heck out of the mechanics!" at that point you'll be able to farm all the ilvl 115 items you want, if you can manage to clear the fights (There are many people who are still stuck on T5).

    This doesn't help the playerbase get better at what's to come next. If you only get a few drops, with randomized drops, then who cares how many times you run it? Just lock out the gear per week like you've been doing. Why do a double lock on something people probably won't even get a chance to receive?

    The rigidness of this game is going to cause alot of good points that it has already earned to collapse in on itself.

    If people can run many times even without loot, they can help others to get the loot, so really the amount of loot obtained in the game as a whole will be bigger, something which is not intended.

    The lock controls not oly how quickly one player can get the gear, but also how many players will be able to get the gear.

    Ok. Then the rate at which gear drops or can be obtained should decrease from 100% kinda like they do in all of these LV 50 Dungeons. Or they could do like they're already doing with the EX Primal gear where you need an item or multiple items for upgrading for the best gear combo possible. But even still if you could only obtain one piece of gear per week then that would be enough of a control on how quickly and how frequently players obtain gear since loot is random in the first place.

    There's many solutions to the issue other than doing a progression lock; Just alot of excuses being given atm to compensate for how rigid the design is for ARR.

    Everytime that annyoing QQ 'I can't play with friends cuz of lockout'-Bullshit is discussed an innocent bunny dies. Make a twink, raid twice the week, problem solved. That lockout serves its purpose very well and it shouldn't be changed how it is IMO.
