Yes. More original music in FFXIV please. Lot's more. Sure throwback remixes are nice where they make sense. But more originality.
And frankly Theathythm can't get out soon enough hehe.

Worst thing about this game is that it has almost no final fantasy music ( music composed by uematsu ). Imho, this has done heavy harm to any chance of this game ever actually feeling like final fantasy. Oh well, I think they now this and are gradually gonna add some more uematsu.

There is plenty of Final Fantasy music not composed by Uematsu...

I think this ties back to the "good ol' days" where FF wasn't as anime-influenced. As well as hate for the games after that era (VII first, then VIII, then X, then XII, and finally XIII). Thought Nobuo Uematsu did compose for most of the later gamer, if even partially, his music is generally associated with the first final fantasy games (and due to Spehiroth, this association ends at VII instead of VI)Worst thing about this game is that it has almost no final fantasy music ( music composed by uematsu ). Expect new music, from expansions. FF14 is still an infant. Give it some time.
"You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war."

This is actually incorrect - a great deal of ARR's OST is composed by Uematsu, both the tracks he originally did for version 1.0 that have returned (like the rental chocobo theme Bo Down, the dungeon final boss theme Nemesis, the Hullbreaker Isle theme Horizons Calling, the Garlean Tribuni boss theme Steal Reason, the Garlean theme Imperial Will, the Ascian theme Without Shadow, to name a few), and traditional FF series tracks like the Prelude and Final Fantasy that have been remixed by Masayoshi Soken. And let's not forget the theme song for FFXIV itself too, ala the haunting Answers.Worst thing about this game is that it has almost no final fantasy music ( music composed by uematsu ). I think you're confusing FFXIV ARR with FFXIII which indeed had virtually zero Uematsu tracks in it, save for the chocobo theme.
You know I was actually thinking this myself.
I thought wouldn't it be cool to have a edit option for BGM for each zone so that not everyone would have the same tune.
Almost like on Playonline where you can change the BGM theme out of a list of songs.
Though for FFXIV make a list of songs from old titles for zones and choose which BGM you want to hear even battle themes.
Though keeping dungeon music the same just something for the outside.
I was thinking of this because of Disgaea always has that BGM editor when you do 10 floor climbs in the item world
Though I doubt SE would do something like this because they will say something like.
Each song was set for that world or that character almost like the theme for terra magitek armor.
