Time for a fun thread! Have you ever had a conversation with someone about FFXIV that has no idea what you're talking about? It's all in good fun.

I have a co-worker that sits at the exit door, so I pass her every night when I leave. She asks if I have plans for when I get home, and sometimes I say things other than "going to play games." Like tonight...

Me: I'm off to go kill King Moggle Mog XII!
Co-worker: Who?
Me: *shows a picture*
Co-worker: Aww, he's adorable! Why would you want to kill him?
Me: He's evil.
Co-worker: that's not a good enough reason!
Me: If he lives, the world will be destroyed.
Co-worker: let it be destroyed then! He's too cute!

I was also once told that I should respect my elders when I showed her Ramuh and said I was going to kill him. I even pointed out he challenged me first and she held her ground!

I keep having to remind my family that I CANNOT PAUSE AN MMO WHILE I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A BOSS FIGHT. There is no pause button. Things will attack me if I'm not in a safe spot while afk. And they never seem to get that.

I drilled it into my family from an early age! One does not simply turn off a game! Situation must be accessed! Is the game saved????(k that bit's a bit old now I guess..)

...oh dear, one time a party was about to kick off literally in front of me ( crates of beer were procured ), well the party was delayed 10 mins because " I promised this guy I'd help him with something..." and yh, kinda weird xD
