Said it when Sightseeing was released, and I'll say it again.
Weather NPCs are not a fix. All they do is change where you wait. You go from waiting at the Vista, to waiting in town. Is that better? Sure, but a fix? No way. Sightseeing is still reduced to a
waiting game, rather than
actual sightseeing. It's an utterly ridiculous notion and I cannot believe people are still defending it.
This is side content, to do for
fun. What the hell is fun about sitting in town waiting for the Weather NPC to give you the all clear on looking at a dead Goobbue? The restrictions are nonsensical and solely there to create a time sink and it is
absurdly apparent that that is what the developers intended it to be.
Rather than being a fun piece of content to do while waiting to do other content, it's instead become something you have to
schedule. That is utterly ridiculous. All it does is encourage the use of guides, because who honestly has it in them to not only work out the pin-point location of all 80 locations, but also work out the exact time and weather? After working out he location of the first dozen or so, and not getting credit because the time/weather is
wrong, people either give up on this worthless piece of content, or they google it. Was it really worth doing this to Sightseeing just to make a minion rarer than High Allagan gear?
