People are being cruel to new players

So if you were doing something in real life that you were new to, you wouldn't say that?

I was kicked for saying I was new once. I was trying to get thru Hests I'd never done to get to Pass the Smell Hest. I'd always mention I hadn't done one before and was new. At one instance, I think it was Ward Up, I got kicked, just for saying it was my first time. (I'd watched a video, just hadn't done it yet, but they didn't even ask.) They'd rather get a new DPS than explain how it worked to a new one.

So yeah, saying you're new and asking for advice can have consequences.

This is the thing: everyone wants you to know the fight, but they want nothing to do with you learning the fight. It's someone else's problem.
