    New to Crafting, Need Advice.

I'd like to ahead and apologize in advance, if these are questions received every day or there's a thread with this resource available. I glanced around, but might have missed something.

To start, I've so far got all level 50's on crafting, and almost all 50's on gathering, right now I'm trying to figure out where to go here. So far I've been maining Weaver, and I'm not sure exactly how to proceed.

I have the i55 class tool, as well as the militia offhand for every class. Along with that I have HQ i55 class gear, along with the Raptorskin Merchant Purse, Aetheryte Rings, Militia Wristlets, Red Coral Earring, and Electrum Choker. For Weaver I'm just about fully melded, but for the other classes I've only got the accessories finished.

I've been working on getting 5 Vanya HQ just to get the master craft, and from there I'm not sure where to go move from here.

What is the BiS for Weaver (And other classes) how do I get it? What are goals to strive for with regards to crafting, what are some good resources for crafting in general? I found "crafting as a service" and that's helped, but in regards to macros, or methods I'm finding a lot of discrepancies (Hasty Touch vs Basic Touch for example) without much differentiating them as to which is better, or worse.

I've seen there is an i70 tool, and some new gear that isn't class dependent, are those worth getting? Thanks in advance for the help.

The best thing to work toward is the ilv 70 tools. These are considered bis due to the low gains compared to supra.
The gloves many consider not worth getting due to the loss of 3 cp which is God stat for crafting.
The glasses are your bis, but easier to get from cul since the turn in item is so cheap to make and the 5hq items are generally so cheap on the Mb.
Rotations are different due to stats, basically the better your stats you can start using more basic touches instead of hasty touch.
Good luck and hope this helped.

Stop everything, and follow the steps below, it is the cheapest method I know, and quickest.

Since you said you have most of your accessories melded, get them fully melded CP wise so you have 345 base CP, then start melding your other classes left side gear, your goal here is to obtain around 350-ish craftsman and control.

Meld up your CUL, then use CUL to do your 2 star turn in items, to obtain your iL70 MH and Artisan Spec. Why CUL is because you can HQ gather most of the mats, or at worst buy a lot of them for cheap gils on market.

From here on it is a rinse and repeat process for every craft, but you should be make your own HQ mats using those HQ rotations to obtain the rest of the 5 HQ items you need for all the other crafts. Since you CUL is already melded, HQ'g Bouillavaisse will be a walk in the park, so 388 CP is a given. Once you gain all the iL70 tools, start worrying about Master Craft 2s and the iL75 MH (which doesnt serve much purpose ATM).

Agree with AttacKat, but a few minor details,

If your accessories are not fully melded, switch to the new ilvl 55 accessories before melding them.

http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/ is the site to go when searching for BiS, and it will help you with your melds.

Focus on melding your accessories (and belt) because they can be shared with all your classes. You can easily do all of your 2* turn ins with nothing but HQ militia gear and partially melded accessories.

As for goals, the ilvl 75 is the crafting equivalent of progression, a lot of people have fun striving for completely maxed out crafts. If you are not really interested in that you can turn to making money or making a sweet personal home.

Macros are for when you massively over-gear your recipe and want to mass produce them. If you are barely meeting requirements, you can still HQ your items, you just need to use Haste Spam and some HQ ingredients.

Most my accessories and belt are pretty close to being fully melded, but I'm thinking of switching the the i55's and remelding it, just to get it out of the way. Thanks for that link, are there other sites that I can use as a resource?

Plan out your synthesis using this simulator http://ffxiv.lokyst.net/

Certainly there are limitations, however you can use it to map out the exact steps to complete the progress bar (remember to use Ingenuity I/II), and to create your own macros

I didn't suggest switching to iL55 only because they require you to get the MC2 books, which you may not be able to do until you have your MH plus other body gears melded, hence the need to spend more gils up front.

il55 are easy to make, and you only need 5 BC1 5 FC1 to buy the books. You can easily make them with unmelded gear. Heck I did it with lvl 46 gear not all even HQ
