Please fix lockouts and the class system clashing. It is killing alts and content.

This is the only MMO where alts are blocked off so fiercely. All I can do is trickle gear to them I luck out and obtain through other jobs. There's currently only four raid bosses, which is a really low amount and once they're gone you're done in a given week. I really want to keep playing but the current setup kills the amount you can do in a given week and it also kills participation in the party finder. I'd love to loop back around and help friends and earn alt items.

Combined with dungeons being nearly useless, I have almost no battle content to participate in. Wrap that up with the ability to slowly sop up raid quality gear by just existing in the game world, it's a bit of a sad state of affairs. I'd love to participate in a bit more challenging content as now me and the people I play with have very little to do.

There's so much you could do, but honestly you could allow raid entry based on job and disable the greed button after the first job and fix so much alone

Wow I have like alt weapons and gear for several classes, I am not sure if we are playing the same game. Between running Trials, Relic Weapon, and maxing out Mythology I have no issue getting stuff for my alt jobs.

What is this alt you speak of? I play all 20 classes equally well. My only problem is where to put all the gear, don't want to delete gear I worked hard for even if I don't use it. Because someday I might want to for looks.

I don't think gear progressions was the main problem for the OP I think its more the fact there is only really 4 challenging boss atm which can be done in 1 night when you have a solid group after that there is nothing to do.

I feel the same although I am still clearing SCOB I know I am a little behind but it would be nice to be able to clear it as a WHM and also try out my tanking skills atm all I can do on my tank is ST which is a boring face roll or primals

I don't get why people have alts. I mean, I do. If you have that much time, more power to you. I just get a kick out of when someone is on their alt and there is a drop for their main, but they can't make use of it.

I think we need to clarify here as well. Alt, to me means alternate (different) character, not another job...on the same character. If the meaning of Alt used here was as I described, then there is no problem. Log on to your Alt(log out of sam and into stuart), do the thing, get the stuff. The OP is unhappy that he cannot re-run the things on the same character, as a different job, and get the stuff. Granted that sounds nice but, c'mon, really?

How broke would that be? There are plenty of things to do, just because they are not what you want to, doesn't mean they don't exist.

I get what you are saying, but one of the appeal of the game as advertised was the armory system, where you can basically level all jobs on one character. Many of us did so without realizing that they shared a lockout once you hit endgame.

I have all DOW and DOM characters leveled to 50, and now I have to choose only one job as my main. Granted, it was an oversight on my part, but if I could turn back time, I would level each of those classes on a new character since the effort put in overall is approximately the same. True, I would have to pay $2 per month to have more than 1 character on a server but if each had their own lockout, I would gladly do so.

No, that'd be a bad idea for gear progression, cause that way you could clear raid content 9 times a week, which would basically multiply your chances at getting loot by 9. If all 8 people in your raid play 9 jobs, that raid could easily kit out their main toons in about 2-3 weeks + getting tons of gear for their alt jobs as well.

Don't know why this idea comes up like every other week, because the lockout system actually works like in every other MMO out there. If you want to clear content more than once a week, just go ahead and level a real "alt" (read as different character, not just a different job on the same character) - no one forces you to level all classes/jobs on the same char.

Err did you read what I was saying? I would have levelled a "real" alt if I had the knowledge I have now back then, but when you are new to the game and they throw the armory system at you and encourage you to use it, how are people supposed to know about the lockout? Should I go level all 8 classes again on 8 different characters to 50 on another character even though I have all lvl 50s on one character?
