Wish I had the Adders you guys are talking about here on Aether.
you'd be surprised. a lot of people care even to the point where they have stopped playing FL altogether because they are on Flames which has the highest chance of losing on my data center and they don't want to start over with another gc because they don't want to get gimped pvp skills or lose their pvp gear since they are r40. they don't want to "ruin" their win rate. no matter how hard I tried to explain to them that the win rates tell nothing more than what gc has a higher chance of winning on the datacenter and reflects nothing personally about them.
imho, those standings were a bad idea. people with gaming OCD (people who are obsessed in having perfect or near perfect scores and stats in any game they play) are raging over it. i've seen a few slightly heated debates about it a few times in my linkshell. try telling someone with OCD not to straighten a crooked book on a shelf and they will rage over it because its serious to them that that book is not in order. to you and I its something meaningless and pointless, but to a person obsessed with perfection it means all the world to them and they'd rather not be shown in the standings at all rather than being shown with low or bad stats that they have no control over.

Winds seem to shift on Aether, from what I saw 4 weeks ago Maelstrom was a monster, the two weeks after Immortal Flames were an inferno and now this week Adders had their A game on.
GC hoppers. Also pretty sure free-login has brought in a surge of bads this past week.
I don't. They choose to be bad so they are getting what bad players deserve; play stupid games ... win stupid prizes. I feel no sympathy for them whatsoever; the only sympathy i have is for the good players on Flames who try to play to win but get outnumbered by the failures and thanks to SE they are permanently locked into fail unless they suffer thru moving to another gc. the gc swap lockout is understandable if one is doing it out of luxury, but at this point players are swapping out of misery because they know they are locked into Immortal Fails so rather than swapping and losing everything, they just quit FL altogether.

I rarely queue for FL solo as a Flames. It gets pretty depressing...pretty fast. The pseudo-intellects shouting the most absurd instructions always baffle my mind.
the need to ditch this GC division in pvp, and they aren't stupid, it'll happen eventually. Should just be 3 random teams in a BG and screw the lore.
agreed. i feel bad for the good players on the flames sometimes. the pre formed parties with TS would still kill every map though.
I am on flames and really like it. I get a win/loss ratio over 33%, which is good for me, which is basically having a equal chance with the other GC's to come in first (Basically like rolling a D3 and hoping for a 1)
Seems even to me, or this number would be really skewed.
