no event quest for the weapons?

Or at least pay attention instead of just rushing the event if you don't know what you are doing. Cus the NPC is right there in front of you when you start.

If you rush things, you miss things. If you don't read the wiki and various guides, then you really shouldn't be rushing these things.

Here is the official event info page, look at where the event NPCs are, and look for the "seasonal shop" NPC, at least thats what they are labeled on JP client. It CAN'T be that much harder than locating the "Remove" button on that image you posted yourself.
