Lack of Pax Prime

I understand the disappointment. However, with the potential hugeness that is 2.38 and the even bigger potential hugeness that is 2.4... there is plenty of time for all sorts of reveals and fanfare. I think its been mentioned they want to save many of the bigger reveals for the community gatherings.

This post isn't about news, reveals, or any other sort of addition or announcement. It's about presence. My friends and I were very much looking forward to a little event like challenging Levi and getting a silly shirt. This may be 14's one year anniversary, but there's nothing like that to be found anywhere at PAX. And understandable or not, it is disappointing.

There is an event pretty much every month, and not every one of them is going to be special. Most of them won't, probably. I mean honestly you should've known better considering FanFest is coming up... That's the one you want to go to.

Hell, WoW and ESO both had amazing displays...

WoW and ESO are desperate for subs. FFXIV is not. Plus I think Blizzard has always been pretty flashy. Not to mention Blizzard Entertainment and ZeniMax/Bethesda are both American companies... SE is not. I can't see SE having big shows in the USA unless it's something like release (wherein you said they did have a good event), or an expansion.

14 had 'events' like the one I mentioned at several other venues, both this year and last year. Even PAX East had Leviathan — PAX Prime did not. This is actually Blizzard's first year ever with a presence outside of Blizzcon; they have nothing to do with this. Square had a booth at PAX with multiple games; FF14 just wasn't one of them.
