I think all the gears she traded to us are actually cheap knock offs of other gears. The Sand and Oils are nothing more then coloured sands and vegetable oil.

Weren't any of you guys around for the philosophy tome bought Darklight gear at 2.0 launch? It had it's own story if read the dialogs from the NPC.

but yea, Rowena has relation to several sets of gear with different stories behind it.
AF1: the quest stuff, she notices you have it, and ends up making you a new pair with modern techniques.
Darklight: knock off gear, based on armor found from a legendary raiding team. It's stylish because it's the same gear worn by some famous heroes...well, a reasonable facsimile.
AF2: The newer version of your AF made by Rowena's team.
Gerolt's Masterpieces: Stuff made by Gerolt, back when he was sober? It's really well made, but it's worn from poor care.
Oddities: Replicas of Odin's weapon, barding and such. She also got her hands on Sands of time and Oils of Time... somehow... She probably bought it off some shady heroes.

He mean the myth gears. Someone from Rowenas team call the myth gears Replicas.

I'm preeeetty sure the vintage stuff was there way before 2.2, which means it's either related to Darklight or Myth gear. Also, Gerolt's Masterworks (Weathered stuff) has its own dialogue option so there's that.

AF1.1? I can't remember what people called it... lol but there is a 2nd version of the "AF" given during the quest... lol Technically it's just a reworked version of the original so I can see why people don't want to call it a true "2nd" version.

Let's not trip over titles though shall we?

True enough though, there is some new AF that we never got to see. Did it just not get released cause they came up with this Gerolt masterworks idea? Perhaps we will see the "true" AF2 when 3nd coil comes out. Maybe it will be the new tome gear to compliment the new 3rd coil stuff.
