most people will look at that as ninja'ing kills though. meaning other players got the player low and then you just came along and you just dropped a bomb on it for the kill. alot of players don't take kindly to that having their kills stolen. its best to have a balanced kills with damage done so you don't look like you've ninja'd your teammates kills. 12 kills with 113k damage is balanced. but if you had done say 12 kills with only 15k damage players would just say you stole the kills.

Stats don't really tell you anything at all without context. Your 12 kills and most of your 118k damage could have been the result of a perfectly timed LB on a group of 6 Summoners, Scholars and their pets. Your 5 kill 18k damage match could have had you finishing off players that had escaped every other person on your side or kill stealing from opposing GC members.

In my best match as a Paladin, I ended up having very bad stats in comparison to my other matches, but I ended up getting 3 commendations for Covering, Tetsudo and Stoneskining the party most of the match when we only had a Scholar as our 1 healer.

True. But if the OP knows he's being honest with himself and not trying to ninja them on purpose then I think it can be a good reflection of his ability to not only sustain damage but burst at the appropriate times. I know in some of my matches I'll have over 100k damage and only a few kills because we wound up stalemated at a flag and couldn't actually kill anyone. I wouldn't call that a good match because we failed to win points for our team.

I suppose my point is that numbers won't tell you whether you had a good match - it's the story behind those numbers.

Maybe some people view this as ninja-ing kills, but going for the lowest hp player is often the most useful strat to help out your team. As a healer, I've had so many times where I cast a bene on someone with <300 hp and if just one extra person on their team had targeted that player I would have wasted my bene and my teammate would be dead. Frontlines is all about the focus fire and teamwork, I know the absolute last thing I care about when playing is worrying about people's feelings getting hurt by stealing their kills, I couldn't care less about my stats at the end.

I assumed that by "ninja-ing" Pink meant someone who did little else other than screw around until someone had low HP and then burned them down just for a number on the board. This isn't a widespread problem by any means but I've seen this happen. It's like their goal is just to get high PK numbers and not actually assist with any other the tactics like crowd control, peeling or interrupting a healer (how many times have we seen a WHM run to a flag and spam Holy unharrassed?). You are of course right that at the end of the day, it's all about the win regardless of your personal score.
