Help me understand why PSN is needed to play this game.

With more Maintenance later in the day for SE themselves. Fun stuff.

That has nothing to do with PSN fixing/updating what they need to. It's three hours left get over it. After tomorrow you have plenty of time to make up for. And if you don't like that then buy a PC. Crying here does nothing but invite the masses of for and against. Then all we have is another big flame war thread snowballing.

For someone that uses UGC cards for this game, when those go down in September, I likely will not be able to play this game a lot at all. I'm not going to put up credit card info with how finicky their system is for security, and Crysta was the easiest and likely most safe way of paying for this. I have 5 days left on my current sub, and not being able to play when I've made plans is annoying, and the issue with PSN being needed to play a game separate from Sony is annoying.

This has nothing to do with Sony. SE is the one who has yet to offer a solution outside of the time cards. And no system is safe you can get hit with theft anywhere. PSN gave out the info that this was coming. We were notified about the delay. I get it I do, you're angry and pointing at the nearest thing. But you're killing the messenger here. This maint was planned for a while now, they even delayed. All you have is 3 more hours then you have the weekend/Friday to enjoy yourself.
