Its alot of time and effort for a game company to have to block and take measures against these websites. And its time and effort every company has to do with every game. There's got to be a better way. And I think there should be something done on the government level. In the US we have something called the Do Not Call list. https://www.donotcall.gov/

What that does is you enter your number, and it is added to a registry that telemarketers get that tells them they cannot solicit goods or services to that number without having prior business with you first (for example, a plumber you called can call you to reschedule a job). I'm wondering if we could possibly get our congressmembers involve to something similar on the internet. Something like a do not contact list where we have screen names and emails in a registry (voluntary of course, just like do not call is).

How would it work? Well.. these gil/gold/currency sellers have to have a website. Which means they have to have a way for users to pay them. If they violate the policy of the 'new do not contact' list. Then they get that method of payments cut off from the US (and any other country that enacts something similar). Basically instead of relying on game devs to filter them. We have our governments cut off their supply of funding and cut them off at the knees.

I don't know how possible it would be to get something like this enacted. But it could be worth a shot. And would do wonders for game developers who could use their energies for making their games better. And not wasting their time with putting in chat filters.

who would be dumb enough to report someone with a busy status on your head? i'd be more worried with someone moving around with the AFK status on your head since it will go away the moment you actually do any movement your self.

Probably the same people that aggro AoEing mobs and drag them over to fishers.

I just reported someone for doing that friends thing to me, though I declined him first and then blisted him.

Usually I don't report cause of the new right click blist option but sending a friends invite gonna cause me to report all of them everytime I get it.

SE should do this for this problem, if they have't won ultimate bane then they cant invite you.

For people who won ultimate weapon can invite and if they choose to invite someone who doesn't have the mission done they can if they want, they just cant invite you.

even if they work all the way up to that point, they still will get blisted or reported.

Just a friendly PSA: there is a right-click blacklist option when you decline their friend request. You will find it when you click on their name in the log message "You decline (name of bot) friend request". It appears here and no where else which is baffling, but useful because while that macro is more efficient it relies on them sending a tell, which some have stopped doing and there is no way to target someone who hasn't sent a tell.

    You gave me a idea.

SE should make it like this, You can't send friends request unless you send a tell back to the person first. <---- ultimate end to this crap- then remove the option to send friends request on searching the name up.

Basically if I send a tell, unless you reply you cannot befriend them till they reply.
