    Not to cause a fight, but immersion keeps getting mixed up with realism. Immersion means how you interect with in a world not your own. Realism is making stuff realistic. We are heros (or villians) we are suppose to do "super human things" Like cast spells and fight giant monsters. It would be kinda stupid to not jump high. It makes the characters look weak if they can't jump more then say 3 inches. More so with Miqo'te, which are cat like humans. Cats themselves have super human jump abilities. Games are not meant to be untra realistic. We should do thing we wouldn't normally or couldn't do.

    Also an auto jump isn't always the best choice. It is easy to get stuck in a jump loop. I've done it in ever zelda game from OoT and ff7 and ffxiii. It can be annoying and time consuming.

    Yup I must say I'm against PvP open too. I really don't see the the need for it. If you're gagging for a chance to hit another PC then controlled area PvP (like ballista or arenas) should be enough to quench your thirst for PC blood. That way PvE and PvP players can play on same servers without rubbing eachother the wrong way. Personally I enjoy PvP. But some days it aint what I want to do. I may log in for 2 hours on a Monday and not want to spend that time getting tied up by open world PvP fights. Especially when I have 8 leves and 2 hours free time spare.

    So PvP Yes please
    Open world PvP NO FRICKIN' WAY!

    not to be mean, but can you tone down the hate for sake of hate?

    Have you ever played an mmo they was not under costent balaning no matter if it pve or pvp. FFxi always had to balance ffxi just for pve. PPl was breaking a 4th wall their their character dmg output which made other roles in party hard to do. Such as monks can out damage even a few drks and paladins and they got hate too fast. This also forced ppl do cookie cut to do said high output dmg or having to do /nin because you want 0 resting between fights.

    I think pvp is ok if it is flaged on or off. And that is the players choice. That way those who don't want pvp just never turn the flag on. For those who do like pvp have the flag on. Just making it a mini game or areana can be dull. Barely anyone used them in ffxi. I think only jp did. I liked doing ballista but was never able to join due to jp made it fill up quick or no one did it at all. They can still make pvp super stricted. Like you can only attack a player with flag on and only with in 4 levels high or lower then you. If you it don't fot into the pre stuff the player will not appear flagged.

    Yes, Open world PvP would interfere with the other things you would be able to do. Imagine having to do a leve, but then getting killed/camped by some dork for 30 minutes. Or some guy going around killing off crafters/farmers. That's time and fun wasted.

    As for jump, there are ways to make jump a useful tool in the game without the lure of having people jump like rabbits. By making jump an emotion and not a instant button press, it cuts down on its time. They can also not make the jump emotion a 10 foot leap in the air. Of Course, jumping as a tool would be more interesting outside, have individual spots where the character can go over, like FF7's green arrow spots. Face it, emote spamming has been with us since the Tarutaru Chorus lines in XI, but there are ways to make jump seem like every other emote.

    I would like PvP where i can propose a duel to someone. My only problem with this is it reminds me of WoW where I had a lot of End gamers challenging me when I was like lv20...Since this is a FF game they can take it a bit further and have like PvP battles in an arena and allow others to join in and watch. I dont know about how easy/hard development wise that would be but I think it would be cool.

    Open world PvP makes no sense. As its has been stated before the races are not at war with each other and as such we don't need to be going out of our way ganking people doing leve quests. Adding in such things as Ballista or Arena would be fine as it would provide an area for those who want to do PvP.

Anyone who says jumping ruins immersion is making a pretty ridiculous argument, as to me it seems more like having NO form of jump ruins the continuity of the gameplay more than having a small jump would. I mean, if I'm this big bad warrior in Eorzea that can't jump over a 6" obstacle, how is that immersive?
    Did you see the part where i wrote SE should add an option to turn the ability of being attacked on/off for open world PVP? Like a PVP flag.... On means you don't mind being attacked and want to attack others... off means you don't want to bother.

    Also if you seriously quit the game because some dude killed you while you were questing then you have a big lack of maturity.

    Why are you against PVP it they have dedicated servers for it? What does it matter to you what those of a have chosen to join those servers do? I mean nobody in the PVP servers will argue that they need to change or ban some PVP feautres/aspects from you PVE only server? I mean... come on seriously?
