PvP in the game is fine, but open world PvP is a mistake. It adds absolutely nothing to the depth of the game, and is more frustrating than it is worth to the vast majority of players. Now, if you want to make instanced PvP, or something similar to FFXI, I'm all for that. Make some cool minigames, or some straight up 1v1, 3v3, etc arena style PvP.
As for jump, what I would like to see is just a toned down version of WoW jump. I mean, in WoW all players can jump like they are NBA All Stars on crack. I'd much rather see jumps be implemented, but the jump height be less, so that you can still get over the smaller obstacles, but not much more than that. For medium sized obstacles, maybe make it more like FFXIII (even though I hated the game) so that you can auto jump up the slightly larger obstacles, but make it believable, like jumping from small ledge to ledge or something. Anyone who says jumping ruins immersion is making a pretty ridiculous argument, as to me it seems more like having NO form of jump ruins the continuity of the gameplay more than having a small jump would. I mean, if I'm this big bad warrior in Eorzea that can't jump over a 6" obstacle, how is that immersive?
