If I were to guess, they are trying to get people to add them so they can send them annoying RMT mail with the side benefit of making it more annoying to blacklist them.

In another game, the RMTs made guilds and arena teams with their website url as the name and spammed invites to people with them.

Got a friend invite from a bot aswell, along with some of my other FC members this morning.

I declined then he instantly sent another invite, I had to first decline the invite and then type the bot's messed up name into the Blacklist before he added me again cause it would cancel my blacklist window.. like what? Seriously fix this ¬¬

Yeah haha, if a bot said that to me id be more concerned that theyve learned how to communicate with us o_o X files level stuff right there.

And yeah it needs fixing tbqh, too many bots now. ive stopped blacklisting them because of the sheer amount of them.

Oh, lawd. This happened to me the other day. I was in Western La Noscea working on my LNC and I get a spam tell. I am about to blacklist him when suddenly I get a friend request from the same spammer. 3: I'd hit no, and delete the request but it'd just pop back. So I just left the request alone for a couple minutes then deleted and blacklisted asap. 'u' A bit worrisome.. Makes ya wonder how far will gold sellers go. @_@

and still, people got banned for showing bots' names on the forum. You don't want that, we don't want that, the OP doesn't want that.

I stopped reporting bots, nothing ever seems to happen to them. I have reported the same bot over and over, yet every day, there he is..... in Urth's gift killing the same 4 bats over and over and over again. If you are on midgaurd, check it out sometime. You can't tell me this isn't a RMT spirit bonding to make materia for sale. Oh well, back to SB'ing the good old fashioned way.... without a bot.
