Fancy yet functional-looking barding that doesn't cosplay, isn't covered up by flags, ideally doesn't compress the wings like the GC bardings do, that are full sets. As you said the naked barding is non-themed, but it's pretty drab to look at, no?

I'm all for crafted bardings.

In fact, I would like to see the bardings function the same as armour: giving boosts to your chocobo's stats, being glamourable, spiritbondable, meldable etc.

That way you can spec out your healer chocobo in mage gear, your tank chocobo in full plate etc. It would breathe a bit more life into lower level crafting as well.

I unequipped everything and like how my chocobo looks since then. He runs free with no weird looking or heavy armor stuff on him

I'd like more bardings that just looked regal or pretty. Something with a few ribbons and flowers just to look pretty but not overdone like it belongs in a carousel.
