    This is the issues with paid online services. There are going to be instances where you cannot use it, weather it be a network issue, hardware problem, someone has a car accident and takes a pole down, mother nature dumps an ice storm on you and you lose power for weeks at a time, etc, etc... Where does it stop? It doesn't. Your best bet, which I have done with my cable provider, is call them and talk to an actual person and explain the situation. Sometimes they give you something, sometimes they say tough. My cable provider actually gave a bit of a refund when we lost power for almost 2 weeks due to a storm. But if any of this is explained in a ToS and you clicked accept, well you bought the farm, and you are SOL.

    Seems people are missing the point here. BY NO MEANS is anyone begging or telling SE that they absolutely need to compensate players. This is posted in the FEEDBACK and SUGGESTIONS part of forums for a reason. Also, I will state again that I have read the ToS and understand that players are entitled to nothing and can't force SE to do anything about it.

    That isn't the point.The point is to address that this is an issue, and bring some attention to it. Are results expected right away? No. Will it for sure garner results from the company?No. Will they read the thread and maybe think about the issues being presented?I would hope so.

    The point of the thread isnt so much just to complain but give the different reasons that it can be seen as a problem, give the player's perspective on how they feel about it, and SUGGEST possible solutions.

    Or are you just okay with saying "oh its in ToS so lets not bring it up at all because SE won't bother anyways".? Only issues that are brought up ever get addressed.

    I mean, this thread is posted in the feedback and suggestions part of the forums. Don't miss out on the real point here guys.

    It seemed like people were giving feedback, positive or negative, its still feedback. My feedback for this type of situation, is to call directly and talk to a person, being nice, and explaining the situation. That's how I would go about seeking refund.

    More feedback, Its not easy to fight a ToS that someone agrees to, they are put in to protect a company, and also to help protect you against things also. Sometimes it is not cost effective to try and fight one and you spend more money and time that its worth.

    Feedback is for SE not for other posters to give to me lmao. This section of forums is for players to give feedback to Square Enix not each other. But I guess thast a different way of looking at things. Albeit, not the right way. Once again, this is me leaving my feedback for Square Enix, as well as putting forth an opinion about maintenance that is shared by many others I know. Not for me to get feedback from other people. Looking at things the wrong way here lol. Its all about getting their attention and making them think about the issue at hand Nobody wants or is demanding anything more than for Sqaure Enix to consider the issue.

    That aside, all I see is blablabla, want something for free, blablabla,...

    Is maintainance inconvenient? Maybe, if you don't have anything to do except playing games.
    Live with it or move to another server where maintainance doesn't collide with your playtime.

    Btw. By paying your subscription you pay for continuing maintainance too. So you get exactly what you pay for.
    Just be glad you don't have to pay more if maintainance takes longer or they run inot a problem.
    Really cool if you look at it from another standpoint, eh?

    If they were to prorate your subscription for the 4 hours or so it was unavailable you'd get about 8 cents back.

    So you would rather play on a system that never gets maintanece all for a single day bonus sub.
    Put it into context, if your car needed maintanece, would you ignore it just to get a few extra miles, then moan when it breaks down due to essential work being ignored.
    Maint is a fact of any MMOs life, out of all the games I've played XIV has the lowest down time.
    If your on about the PSN maint that wasn't due to SE was due to a ddos attack on Sony

    To add , no we don't need an extra day to think you deserve free time when the downtime is to fix things not just to ruin your day is silly at best

    I would just relax, step back. In the past SE has credited accounts with play time due to extended unforeseen maintenance or system outages on THEIR end. If it gets to that point I'm almost sure someone will bring it up and the bean counters will get to work figuring out how much it would cost them to implement. I remember getting several 1-2 day credits when I played FFXI. I play on Moogle and Hyperion and I can't say I noticed any real terrible maintenance over the last week or so.

    Downtimes come with the territory. Servers need to be rebooted and patched. So far I would say that emergency maintenance, at least for me, has been at an acceptable level so far during my play time.
