A remake of a zone that we loved in FFXI ?

I loved FFXI and would like to see some sort of XI easter eggs in FFXIV apart from the general of the immortal flames, but not steal any glorious vana'diel zones and throw them into stinky Eorzea. Maybe they should work on making Eorzea as interesting to explore as Vana'diel by adding some MYSTERY to the game. I mean shit, you don't actually find out what the crags in FFXI were for until CoP came out.

I have to say i'd be against this. For every second they had a person or a team of persons working on a tribute to this old zone, that could be a second spent on making a fantastic new zone. Time is a precious commodity for this team and they should be spending it wisely.

I loved all of the zones in FFXI, really. These ones in particular. While I do agree they shouldn't just remake all the zones we love from FFXI, it would be cool to maybe see some throwbacks here and there. Also, I think it is good for them to know which types of zones we like the most for when they are considering making new ones.

Some of you need to loosen up, this is a thread where you can post a zone which you would like in FFXIV, doesn't mean its gonna happen. Just post your opinions and move on. Either way, FFXI has almost all kinds of landscapes and some of it is bound to be made in Eorzea.

I would like to see desert areas with the mountains of sand in the distance, like Altepa, i always loved those kinds of areas.

I wouldnt want an exact remake. However, there were a lot of areas in FFXI that I loved. I only hope that FFXIV will expand to be as fun to explore and look at as XI was.

I like Purgonogo Isle, sky and Al'Taieu. Something like these areas or with a similiar idea would be nice.

Rolanberry was my absolute favorite zone in XI, so I'd go with that. I'd also prefer The Black Shroud to be more like Zi'tah than it currently is.

I liked the look of the Uggalepih area, but I hated running through it.

None in my opinion :/ This is a different world with a different lore and it would not feel right to me to have a zone from another game, sorry.

Most FPS seem to have a New York somehow, yet its a different lore and storyline, so reusing areas isn't weird.

Funny how people want nothing from their successful MMO to show up in the game they're trying to save. My personal vote would Grand Palace of Hu`Xoi.
