Please add the following to your list, but I am sure the artists at SE have entertained these notions before. And note that these aren't intended to be slutty or anything, I'm just saying I would like these types of gears

Flowing materials:
Capes (not the cliché LotR ones, but I mean like Red-riding hood shawls and Lightning's cape from FFXII, or contemporary high-fashion ones from like Burberry)
Scarves or shawls
jackets with coat-tails

I want Yoshi-P's scarf on all my characters.

If I may interject, step the armor design away from the medieval period in which you all are currently designing them as. Instead reach for a more fantasy Renaissance. Make intricate designs on the armor to make them look different, the textures are amazing but texture alone doesn't look appealing.

I would like to see tiers of gear designs..

Slum gear (gear you typically see at very low levels like in ff11) -> Midieval gear (gear you currently see at higher levels between 30-50 in ff14) -> Fantasy gear (gear that Lightning is wearing from ff13-2) -> High Fantasy gear (extraordinary aesthetics at cap ranks only)
