Chocobo Colouring, my progression to a Soot Black Chocobo.

My chocobo is currently royal blue any tips on where to go from here to achieve black? or even charcoal grey? It won't take any more berries so I am thinking i am capped on darken blues.

If you currently have deep/full Blue, you need to compensate for this by adding Green and Red. Again, balancing act, because adding too much green and red will make it turn brown or dark yellow. You need to give it just enough Green and Red to hit the value you have for Blue, without going over it (which will substract the blue due to the other two capping and wanting to go on, but can only do so by bringing blue's value down).

Thanks for the response! I think I will feed it one pear and apple with feather change procs at a time and see where it ends up.

kobold brown + plum gave me ink blue AGAIN -_- stuck in that annoying loop.
I think my theory is correct.

RGB value and current color are two separate values wher ethe current color is decided upon which dye color is closest to your rgb value.
So ive a different rgb value at this point than the other guy with his soot black chocobo had ;[

That's frustrating. I'm a similar situation as you. Stuck in Ink Blue... went to Kobold, tried a pear and got Ink Blue again. I'm currently in the process of going Kobold again to try out the Plum (or two) to see if it works. Bluhhhhh.
