While your "derping" with Yoshi to use his own phrase, I will be livin it up with Tanaka.

I still think tanaka could have help this game if they give him more time. It not is problem the CEO want the game to be release in such a dumb date. I hope one day tanaka would come back and bring more of a Final fantasy feel to the game and yoshi-p could bring the feel that wow have but tanaka can make his idea to more of a final fantasy feel.

Agreed. It was all Wada tbh.
I would like to see Tanaka do a final expansion for FFXI. Tying up all the loose ends in story and potential.

But its nice to see the old Yoshi-P back after the stress of 1.18!

Unfortunately, it's the leaders of the faith that often call the shots, not the god of said faith, who is usually a focus for thier worshippers. Case in point: the renaissance popes were often corrupt as all hell, and weren't above taking bribes from nobles in exchange for ensuring them "god's grace". Even today you have groups like Al Queada who justify thier atrocities as god's will, never mind the fact that their views are antithetical to thier faith.

I'm actually glad to see Tanaka still getting respect; that fell out of favor for a little while. Tanaka-san's been with Final Fantasy for a long time and he has a lot to offer the franchise's image - however, it does seem that he's lost his touch in certain areas; that he's locked in the past with aspects of game-building that really matter in today's market.

I respect Tanaka's vision and dedication, but I admit that I'm enjoying Yoshi-P's chosen direction for The FFXIV Experience quite a bit more than I would have otherwise. Though there'll always be a niche for that type of content in-game, a product doesn't have to be masochistically time-sinking or difficult to be fun, and I think that held FFXI back at times.

Though, I swear, if I see the words, "The Hardcores," or "The Casuals," one more time, I'm bound to just start slapping people.

Unfortunately, most religion is a series of Shepherds; not much face-time with the top-dog regardless of what path one chooses to follow. My guess is you'll be fielding some issues yourself on this one, lol.
